Brent started racing chariots in 1995 and raced for 3 years, but gave it up for the next 2 years, and when he returned he returned as a wagon driver, and has been driving wagons ever since. Brent says the whole family enjoys the sport of wagon racing, and the friends they make as they go down the road. He likes the challenge of starting a new horse, and the rewards of seeing the horse trained and on the track. In 2012, Cole was the All Pro Rookie Chariot Driver and 2012 Whitecourt and Kikino Chariot Champion. In 2014 Cole stepped into the wagon box and was awarded the 2014 All Pro Chuckwagon Rookie Award. Curtis grew up around the race track and began racing carts in 1982 and then in 1984 he started driving chuckwagons. In the early years, 1991 & 1992 he was high-point Border Club winner; also two time winner of his Dad's memorial trophy at the Hardisty Rodeo. More recently, Curtis has won several shows, including three time Ponoka Stampede champ and two time Grande Prairie champ. 2015 is Curtis's 4th consecutive high-point chuckwagon championship, as well as 5 time clean driver award recipient. Curtis raises his own thoroughbred cross colts and enjoys breaking them in the winter. He also enjoys the family atmosphere and the friendship that he has made through the years.

Destiny unfolds and is realized when this young hot gun guides the equine thunder to the barrels. Mr. Curtis Wood has lamented and earned the nod from the elite, Mr. Wood has risen in the ranks of the All Pro with his wheels on fire. Mr. Wood clocked astounding times consistently in the 2013 Taste The Dust Tour to earn the right to be hooked against legends finding himself in the dash for cash at one of the biggest meets the Red Deer Westerner Days; this is an amazing feat for such a young driver. This cowboy comes from a wagon racing family and at a very young age learned the finer aspects of the sport. This chuckwagon driver is primed and ready to cement his name and claim his crown in the sport of kings. The 2014 summer will be a record breaking year for Mr. Curtis Wood the pace he has set and diligent focus, commitment has forged a trail to the championship having put together a team that has proven ready for the task. Dale is a long time resident of the Stettler area, and has been involved in the rodeo sport as a competitor for many years. In 1983 Dale decided to try his hand at racing and started driving a cart, in 1986 he turned the cart over to his daughter Janine, then he started driving wagons. Dale is a consistent runner, and can usually be found in the middle of the pack, on several occasions has made the top ten. He was the overall winner at Hand Hills in 2004. Dale’s wagon is easy to recognize, he has the letters I.B.O.K on the tailgate, and when people ask what it means he says it could mean any of the following “I’ll be OK, “I’m behind old Kobi” or just Kobi spelled backwards.

In 2014, son Kolton joined his dad on the race track, racing a chariot and a wagon in 2016.

Gary was born into a wagon racing family. From the time he could walk, he was racing with his friends around pop can barrels with baler twine lines. At the age of thirteen, he climbed into a chariot and has been racing horses ever since. In 1992, he was the Manitoba Chariot Champion. In the summer of 1994, he and his family moved to Alberta where Gary was the rookie wagon driver. Fastest track time in Grande Prairie in 2004, penalty free years in 2004 and 2007. 2008 Williams Lake Chuckwagon Champion, North Thompson Stampede Chariot Champ, and Dash for Cash winner in Williams Lake and Red Deer. Gary has raced all across Canada and into the States; he is looking forward to another good year of wagon racing with his family and friends.

ack started racing in the Clover Park Chuckwagon Club out of Fort Saskatchewan. He moved to the Olds area in 1979 and joined the Eckville club. Jack is one of the founding members of the APCC&CA. Jack is proud of the Stott racing family which, consists of himself, two daughters, one son, and one son in-law. His grandchildren are also well on their way to follow tradition. Jack has many wins over his lengthy career, and quite often in the top ten. Along with his kids, Jack enjoys raising, breaking, and training horses.

The impact this Saddle Lake cowboy has had on the chuckwagon racing world has been phenomenal. Mr. Wood has won every major race meet the sport has to offer, has set track records that have raised the standard of the sport to new heights. Keith Wood is a Eight time North American champion, a meet that brings together the elite of the sport this is a record to date. Mr. Wood has run consistently in the upper tiers of the All Pro Racing Association for over a decade and is viewed as one of the most successful drivers to ever visit the eight in the sport of pony chuck wagon racing. This wagon man is always looking to improve and after years of honing his craft on and off the track has garnered the hardware to solidify his chapter in the history books of the All Pro Chuckwagon Association. The electrifying energy unleashed at the barrels and around the track stands as a testament of the knowledge and horsemanship, commitment Mr. Wood has to excellence, and his equine athletes as he guides to the eight. Kolton is a second generation driver following in his father Garry's footsteps. In 2011, Kolton began racing mini-chuckwagons. 2014 was Kolton’s rookie chariot year, finishing 3rd overall and was the All Pro Rookie Chariot Champion. In 2016, Kolton moved into the wagon box, receiving the All Pro Rookie Chuckwagon Champion Award.

Having grown up in a legendary chuck wagon racing family, it was a natural process that led Lanny to the barrels. Lanny started racing carts and quickly became a force to be reckoned with, winning the title of Rookie Cart driver. 2015 was his rookie year in a wagon and he went on to win rookie of the year. The Wood racing family has another future legendary driver as this speedster rolls into the 2016 Taste the Dust Tour. Lee has lived in Camrose his entire life and was raised on the race track helping his dad Ray Adamson, until the time cam and he decided if he was going to clean up after horses he may as well be racing them himself. He has been racing for 26 years now where he consistently finshes in the top ten. Lee has been the Alberta high points champion, has won the Saddle Lake meet, and the Red Deer Championship. Lee feels that the racing circuit is an excellent environment to raise a family, and that makes it special to him.

Linda is truly from a chuckwagon family, her father Willie Shippelt was a well known driver, and along with her uncles Mike Shippelt and Tom Gilks and 14 cousins Linda spent many of her childhood summers enjoying the racing circuit. She started racing carts in 1974, and moved up to the wagons in 1990. At most every show in the summer you will find Linda along with her husband Marvin Hubl and their children setting up camp and getting ready to run. Through Linda, the Shippelt name remains in the racing circle.

Marvin was born and raised in the Eckville area and got into the racing business in 1984 after meeting Linda in 1983. Drove a chariot for about 5 years just to learn how to drive, and then jumped into a wagon in 1989 and has been there ever since. There have been many highlights including buckles, trophies, prints, coats and a trophy-skinning knife. Coming second in Red Deer and second in the All Pro Chuckwagon final point standings, are two achievements that I am looking to improve upon. Don't miss the next race because "Times a wasting."

ROBIN ARCAND

Robin started racing chariots in 1978 at the age of 16. He graduated to wagons in 1979. He raced both chariots and wagons until after his 3rd child was born in 1993. Robin left the racing scene to raise his family and start his career. Last year, in 2016 Robin came out of retirement to race wagons with his son Philip. He's been bitten by the "horse bug" again. He is also looking forward to a great racing season.

Tracey is part of a long line of racers in her family. Her dad Jack, sisters Lori and Karen, brother John and brother-in-law Jonathan BigCharles, nephew Karsen Stott and niece Savannah BigCharles have all picked up the lines. Many other nieces and nephews have also made their start in the junior driver program. Racing is truly in her blood. Tracey enjoys breaking horses with her family and watching them succeed on the track. With a few wins over the years, her most memorable is her Grandpa's Memorial trophy in Olds. In the winter, Tracey enjoys curling and coaching hockey.

Tyrell's first cart race was in Sundre in 2008. After deciding that he liked it, he also raced in Olds and Westlock. As the season was over, he will be back on the track in 2009. Tyrell joins the family racing with his dad, Brian, and sister, Dezerae. In the winter Tyrell plays hockey in Rockyford.

2009 was Wacey's rookie year with the All Pro Chuckwagon and Chariot Association, finishing the season in 12th place. Championship wins in Whitecourt, Sedgewick and the 2009 rookie of the year award. Wacey is a third generation driver, following in both his mom and dad's footsteps, and Grandpas Harold Hogg and Butch Sannachan. Wacey loves working with the horses and the thrill of the race. In 2012 Wacey stepped into the wagon box.

This cowboy has since earned a place for himself in the history books of the All Pro Chuckwagon Association. Mr. Whiskeyjack has won numerous titles and has forged statistics that will not be easy to match the ability he has to guide the equine force around the barrels is breath taking. This cowboy has driven his way to world and North American titles and continues to blaze a path to chuckwagon greatness with every stride; this is another cowboy that has put his home of Saddle Lake on the chuckwagon map, a place where legends harness up. Mr. Whiskeyjack has overcome insurmountable challenges and continues to astound both the fans and drivers with his prowess at the barrels.
