The Salmond's are the largest wagon racing family in the world; this third generation driver has been around horses his entire life. Wade began racing chuckwagons at the age of sixteen. At age eighteen, Wade was the youngest person ever to win the world finals. He has won several championships and dash for cash's throughout his career. Some of the most recent in 2010 include Western Canadian Champion, Olds Champion, Sundre Champion, Kehewin Champion, Melville Champion, Red Deer Reserve Champion and Whitecourt Reserve Champion. You can always count on this Saskatchewan cowboy to give the Alberta boys a run for their money. Wade and his father Neil can be seen racing wagons in all three Prairie Provinces and even into the U.S. Wade's younger brother Evan (former All Pro member) is now racing thoroughbreds and is a current WPCA member. The Salmond's have a very popular line of race horses that they have raised themselves, a breeding program that's been proven for several years.
