Gary Salmond

Edson, Alberta
D.O.B. 1978
1 son: Corban
Employer: Formula Transport
Started racing in 1991

Gary was born into a racing family so it was only natural that he would try his hand at driving, and at the age of 13 in 1991 he started his career. In 1992 he was the Manitoba Chariot Champion, and was crowned the rookie wagon driver in 2004.

Also in 2004 Gary was awarded a buckle for the fastest time at the Grande Prairie Stompede, and placed in the dash for cash in Red Deer.

One of Gary’s proudest accomplishments on the track is the fact that he went penalty free for the 2004 racing season.

Even at his young age Gary has raced all across Canada and into the USA, and looks forward to racing for many more years to come.
