HOMETOWN: Drayton Valley, Alberta Brian grew up at the racetracks in B.C. where his Grandfather, Uncle and Father all competed, so it was inevitable he would wind up on the seat of a wagon at some point. Brian got his first chance to race a chariot while giving Darwin Patterson and Lionel Pike a hand for a couple years. In 2001, Reg Hamilton gave Brian his first wagon team, from their Brian bought his own team, and raced for two years before taking a break.
Brian moved to Drayton Valley in 2006 and started to piece together a team, thanks Chris, Marvin, Linda, Carman, and Elaine. Brian made his debut with the APCC&CA in 2009 and won rookie wagon driver. Brian enjoyed his first year on tour and is looking forward to many more years on the tracks. Brian would like to thank Darwin Patterson, Lionel Pike, Linc Douglas and Reg Hamilton for their help and support along the way when he was starting out. |
